Kirsty manages the West Leederville Counselling Centre, and is a child and family therapist with over 20 years' experience in W.A and Victoria in child and adolescent agencies, as well as in private practice. She is a Lecturer at Curtin University's School of Social Work and teaches counselling; child and adolescent mental health; and child development. She currently specialises in Family Court and child protection work, assisting parents and children to build healthy, safe and strong attachments. She is interested in child and family trauma and helping people recover from trauma and rebuild positive relationships. Kirsty practises culturally competent, LGBTQIA+ aware therapy and seeks to understand the cultures and experiences of others. She is experienced in working with interpreters.

Kirsty has a positive approach that draws on the strengths and personal insights of individuals, whether they be adults or children, to help them reach their own solutions. Therapy with Kirsty is enjoyable and non-threatening for children and involves play, art and family therapy.
Adult counselling focusses on family strengths, positive parenting, family of origin issues and issues related to abuse, trauma and/or family violence.
Kirsty is also able to provide supervision for child and family therapists and child counselling teams.
Medicare rebates are available under 'Mental Health Care Plans' from a G.P and low cost counselling is provided to people on health care cards and to students. Counselling days are limited to Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Skype sessions are available for rural clients.

- Parental childhood issues impacting on parenting
- Gender diversity issues including children and young people identifying as transgender or non-binary. Kirsty is registered with PCH gender diversity clinic to provide counselling.

- Autism, ADHD, OCD or tic/tourettes diagnoses in children, young people or young adults. Kirsty can see clients with NDIS plans.
