Jemma joins our practice from Springboard Perth – upskilling kids for stronger futures. She is a highly experienced Accredited Mental Health Social Worker who has worked in many different fields including adult mental health and school social work. Jemma is truly passionate about early intervention and has creatively used her knowledge from adult mental health to practice a preventative style of counselling with children. Jemma currently works in the education sector, mainly assisting children where social and emotional issues are impacting on their learning. She likes to work with children’s strengths as her starting point, and is very much a believer that “happy kids learn better.”
Jemma is a very supportive and caring counsellor that practices a client centred approach. She works primarily with children and families, assisting them on their path to wellness and recovery. Jemma provides a safe and non-threatening environment where children and families are able to explore their presenting issues, develop personal insights and reach their own solutions.

Medicare rebates are available under a Mental Health Care Plan from a GP. Jemma provides counselling on Saturdays at West Leederville Counselling Centre.
